Ecological product value accounting and realization pathways in river-lake type water conservancy scenic areas: A case study of the Quzhou Majinxi Water Conservancy Scenic Area

At present, the construction of ecological is advancing steadily, and the mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products is being refined. However, river-lake type water conservancy scenic areas are confronted with such problems as the diversity of ecological product types, difficulties in value accounting, and unclear realization pathways. Taking the Quzhou Majinxi Water Conservancy Scenic Area as a case study, this paper constructs an ecological product inventory system for river-lake type water conservancy scenic areas, estimates the value of ecological products in the Quzhou Majinxi Water Conservancy Scenic Area from 2022 to 2023 and analyzes their structural characteristics and trends. On this basis, pathways for realizing the value of ecological products in river-lake type water conservancy scenic areas are explored. This paper finds that the total value of ecological products in the Quzhou Majinxi Water Conservancy Scenic Area exhibits an overall upward trend during 2022 to 2023. Regulation and cultural services constitute the dominant components of the value structure, reflecting the combined effects of enhanced aquatic ecosystem functions and the growing demand for water culture, leisure, and recreation. This study proposes major pathways for realizing the value of ecological products in river-lake type water conservancy scenic areas, including strengthening the foundation for ecological product accounting and monitoring, promoting the industrialization of ecological products, deepening the integration of water culture with cultural tourism to achieve value added, innovating market-oriented realization mechanisms, and establishing benefit-sharing and ecological feedback mechanisms. This paper suggests that the implementation of these pathways must strictly adhere to ecological protection thresholds, foster the coordinated development of “water conservancy + cultural tourism + technology”, and form a virtuous cycle of “governance-protection-development-feedback”.

With the development of eco-cultural tourism in water conservancy scenic spots, how to promote the strategic coordination of the main bodies of eco-cultural tourism in water conservancy scenic spots has become the focus of research and work, but existing research has not revealed its influencing factors and promotion paths. Based on the grounded theory, this paper takes four national water conservancy scenic spots as examples and analyzes the sample data through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. This paper summarizes relevant concepts and categories, and explores the theoretical connotations of various elements and their impacts on the synergy of eco-cultural tourism strategies. From the perspective of value co-creation, the influencing factor model of the synergy of eco-cultural tourism strategies in water conservancy scenic spots was constructed. The results show that the collaborative participation cognition, composed of ecological cognition, responsibility cognition, and behavioral effect perception, can directly promote the strategic coordination of main bodies of eco-cultural tourism in water conservancy scenic spots. Value co-creation environment elements such as policy incentives, infrastructure support, and competitive environment, value co-creation capability elements such as absorptive capacity, redundant resources, and organizational formalization, as well as value-sharing relationship elements such as trust, collaboration mechanism, and contract governance have situational effects, which can strengthen the positive effect of collaborative participation cognition on the synergy of eco-cultural tourism strategies.

Configuration analysis of high-quality development of national water park in the Yellow River Basin

High-quality development is a priority for the construction and management of water park in the new stage, and linear regression studies are difficult to explain the complexity of high-quality development. Adopting configuration analysis, this paper analyzed the complex causal relationship between four antecedent variables, namely management and operation, safety management, ecological protection, cultural excavation and utilization and the social, economic, ecological, and comprehensive benefits, the fuzzy set of 93 Yellow River Basin National Water Park was qualitatively compared and analyzed. Studies have shown that single conditions are not necessary for the generation of benefits; a combination of conditions contribute to the full realization of benefits, and cultural excavation and utilization contribute the least to the generation of benefits compared to management and operation, safety management and ecological protection. There are three modes of high-quality development of water park: management mode, management and ecological protection model, and ecological and cultural protection mode. Scenic areas with high management and operation and high safety management, scenic areas with high management and operation and high ecological protection, and scenic areas with high ecological protection and high cultural excavation and utilization help promote the high-quality development of water park.
