Research achievements in cutting-edge scientific fields such as high-energy physics are often difficult for the general public to understand due to their abstract concepts and complex theories, highlighting the prominent issue of the “last mile” in science communication. Taking the production of a popular science video on “photon-axion-like particle(ALP) propagation modes” as an example, this paper explores the transformation path and practical strategies from scientific research papers to popular science videos. Based on the core theory of the paper “Distinct photon-ALP propagation modes” and combining PPT animation technology, the transformation process is analyzed from four dimensions: theoretical refinement, content structuring, visual symbol design, and narrative logic construction. It argues the role of popular science videos in lowering the threshold of scientific understanding and enhancing the public's interest in science. The key issues in the transformation process, such as the balance between scientific accuracy and accessibility and the matching of technical tools, are summarized, providing practical references for the popularization of scientific research achievements.
