In the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, China selected parts of the central and western regions to carry out Third-line construction for nearly 20 years, which rapidly improved the public infrastructure services and living standards of the villages where they were located. However, with the arrival of the end of construction, the geographical environment of the Third-line factory can not meet the development needs, and the enterprises are gradually moved out, resulting in different degrees of abandonment of factory buildings, ecological pollution, and separation of urban areas and rural development, becoming the core factors restricting the development of village industries and rural revitalization. Based on the systematic deconstruction of Third-line industrial wasteland, this study deeply analyzes the logical mechanism between the redevelopment of Third-line industrial wasteland and village industrial revitalization, that is, the specific industrial revitalization goal of ecological industrialization, improvement of industrial chain, and revitalization of industrial vitality is achieved through the specific measures of village ecological restoration, land-use function re-endowment, and humanistic spirit mining. On this basis, it takes Xiayishui Village, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province as the research object, analyzes and summarizes the existing problems in its industrial development, and proposes that the essence of the redevelopment of Third-line industrial wasteland is to realize capital reconstruction and asset reconstruction through the restructuring of residual material resources and the revitalization of humanistic spirit, so as to realize industrial transformation optimization, industrial emerging formats and industrial structure upgrading, and summarize that through handling legacy disputes, enriching industrial types, improving spatial layout, implementing pollution control, and inheriting spiritual connotation and other specific measures finally achieve the development path of clear land rights and responsibilities, integrated development of three industries, homogenization of infrastructure, industrialization of ecological resources, and injection of new industrial vitality, and provide a certain reference for the development of village industries facing the same dilemma.

Urban non-motorized space is an indispensable factor for people's daily life and work. Its design can affect people′s body health and their active travel behavior. Using smartphone app Daynamica, a self administered survey was conducted in Xi'an, China. Environment audit was used to collect data of urban street around the respondent's residential locations as well. After data cleaning, 286 respondents were used in this study. Using a binary logistic regression model, the impact of the residential non-motorized space design factors and other built environment factors were analyzed. The results show that completeness of public service facilities, the higher level of greening, and the connectivity of non-motorized space have significant impacts on walking and cycling behavior. The width of motor roads below 21 meters has a significant positive effect on active travel behavior; the road network density and distance from the city center are significantly positively related to active commute behavior. Based on all of the above findings, suggestions of planning strategies are put forward.

In the era of deep-seated informatization, the scale of the digital economy keeps expanding. In China, the construction of digital villages in the central and eastern regions has achieved initial results, while research on the underdeveloped western rural areas is obviously insufficient. This study, based on introducing the connotation of China's digital villages, uses CiteSpace to analyze 3 110 papers published from 1996 to 2024. It clarifies the development course and research status of China's digital villages, sums up the problems in the construction in recent years, and analyzes excellent domestic cases in response to these problems from three aspects: digital governance architecture, unique digital cultural tourism, digital empowerment to rural industries. Meanwhile, a digital rural evaluation system has been established from four first-level indicators (innovation-element input, digital-infrastructure, digital-economy-development, and digital-society-construction) and 25 second-level indicators, using multi-level data and the AHP method to quantitatively compare the composite development index of digital villages between China's western and central-eastern regions, with a difference ratio of 4.2:5.8. Finally, based on the above research and considering the current situation of western rural areas, the study offers suggestions for the digital-village-construction in the western region of China from three aspects: construction concept, path, and safeguard mechanism.
