To more accurately simulate the inundation process of inundation areas downstream of small-sized reservoirs after dam breaches and reveal the coupling mechanisms of dam breaches and levee overtopping, the DaYJ Reservoir in Guizhou Province was studied. Digital elevation measurements and orthophoto imaging were conducted in the reservoir area and downstream flood-prone areas. A coupled model of dam breaches and levee overtopping was developed based on a high-precision DEM, and sensitivity analyses were performed within the study area regarding flood depth, flow velocity, and flood severity relative to levee height. The results indicate that compared with the single dam breach model, the coupled model of dam breach and levee overtopping can more realistically simulate the changes in the inundation range downstream over time. When the levee height is no more than 1 m, overtopping is highly probable. A transitional state between levee overtopping and non-overtopping occurs at a levee height of approximately 1.5 m. When the levee height exceeds 1.7 m, overtopping is entirely prevented, and the flood primarily bypasses the levee from its end, inundating residential areas. As levee height increases, the arrival time of the flood, the emergence time of a 0.3 m water depth, and the occurrence time of the peak flow velocity are all delayed. Furthermore, both the maximum flow velocity and the peak flood severity within the study area of levee overtopping generally decrease and become more uniformly distributed.

For realizing the intelligent and rapid identification of the parameters of temperature control of mass concrete during the construction, and improving the feedback and prediction accuracy of the model of intelligent temperature control system, a set of intelligent algorithms are developed to identify and transform the original data of various temperature control parameters collected based on the internet of things technology. As for key parameters for the concrete temperature control during the construction period, such as the concrete placement temperature, the start time, the maximum temperature, the temperature difference between the interior and exterior concrete, the start and end time of water cooling and the surface insulation, the judgment logic of the corresponding recognition task is given and the corresponding program is written combined with engineering experience. Then according to the data of several practical projects, the method and codes are validated, and the accuracy is analyzed. Results show that the proposed algorithms have a good performance for the identification, and can be used for practical projects, so as to benefit the automation, intelligentization, rapidity and accuracy of the collection of temperature control parameters.
Aiming at the serious lack of rainfall-flood regime and safety monitoring, and the difficulty of hydrological forecast and risk assessment of reservoir safety in Guizhou Province, a supervision system is developed for the reservoir operation and safety monitoring of the whole province. Based on a Browser/Server architecture, the system used the WebGIS, GNSS and other technologies, and possesses both the functions of rainfall-flood forecasting and dam safety monitoring; with the collected history information and real-time data, the mining technology is pursued for further information identification and risk management. By providing the display modules of the overall function and typical projects, the system shows a strong performance for the dam safety monitoring and rainfall-flood forecasting ability, can facilitate the capability of flood forecast and disaster defense in Guizhou province, and thus provides technical support for the safe operation and intelligent management of reservoirs.
