Lead halide perovskites have attracted considerable attention as potential candidates for high-performance nano/microlasers, owing to their outstanding optical properties. However, the further development of perovskite microlaser arrays (especially based on polycrystalline thin films) produced by the conventional processing techniques is hindered by the chemical instability and surface roughness of the perovskite structures. Herein, we demonstrate a laser patterning of large-scale, highly crystalline perovskite single-crystal films to fabricate reproducible perovskite single-crystal-based microlaser arrays. Perovskite thin films were directly ablated by femtosecond-laser in multiple low-power cycles at a minimum machining line width of approximately 300 nm to realize high-precision, chemically clean, and repeatable fabrication of microdisk arrays. The surface impurities generated during the process can be washed away to avoid external optical loss due to the robustness of the single-crystal film. Moreover, the high-quality, large-sized perovskite single-crystal films can significantly improve the quality of microcavities, thereby realizing a perovskite microdisk laser with narrow linewidth (0.09 nm) and low threshold (5.1 μJ/cm2). Benefiting from the novel laser patterning method and the large-sized perovskite single-crystal films, a high power and high color purity laser display with single-mode microlasers as pixels was successfully fabricated. Thus, this study may offer a potential platform for mass-scale and reproducible fabrication of microlaser arrays, and further facilitate the development of highly integrated applications based on perovskite materials.

The mid-infrared band has a wide range of applications in the fields of gas detection, aerospace, countermeasures, medical surgery, etc.. As a result, a large number of mid-infrared materials are investigated. Compared with other mid-infrared materials, fluoride glass fibers have attracted much attention due to its ability of flexible multidirectional transmission, low phonon energy and excellent mid-infrared spectral performance. As a consequence, we introduced the research status and problems of different fluoride glass fibers such as fluorozirconate glass fiber, fluoindinate glass fiber and fluoroaluminate glass fiber. We represented the inside structure, physical and chemical properties, and spectral properties between various glass components. We highlighted the fiber lasers in different wavelengths and supercontinuum laser scources covering different wavelength bands based on various rare-earth ions doping fluoride glass fiber. In addition, we also prospected the future research direction and preparation process of fluoride glass fiber.
Precise control over the morphology, nanostructure, composition, and particle size of molecularly organic–inorganic hybrid mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles (MONs) still remains a major challenge, which severely restricts their broad applications. In this work, an efficient bridged organic group-determined growth strategy has been proposed for the facile synthesis of highly dispersed and uniform MONs with multifarious Janus morphologies, nanostructures, organic–inorganic hybrid compositions, and particle sizes, which can be easily controlled simply by varying the bridged organic groups and the concentration of bis-silylated organosilica precursors used in the synthesis. In addition, the formation mechanism of Janus MONs determined by the bridged organic group has been discussed. Based on the specific structures, compositions, and asymmetric morphologies, all the synthesized Janus MONs with hollow structures (JHMONs) demonstrate excellent performances in nanomedicine as desirable drug carriers with high drug-loading efficiencies/capacities, pH-responsive drug releasing, and enhanced therapeutic efficiencies, as attractive contrast-enhanced contrast agents for ultrasound imaging, and as excellent bilirubin adsorbents with noticeably high adsorption capacities and high blood compatibilities. The developed versatile synthetic strategy and the obtained JHMONs are extremely important in the development and applications of MONs, particularly in the areas of nanoscience and nanotechnology.
