Overview

  • Experimental and Computational Multiphase Flow (ECMF) is a peer-reviewed international journal that is quarterly co-published by Tsinghua University Press and Springer, on behalf of the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET) of Tsinghua University. ECMF publishes original high-quality research papers and significant review articles on the transport phenomena of mass, momentum, and heat in multiphase flows from theoretical, experimental, and computational perspectives. The Journal publishes scholarly research papers, invited review articles, brief communications, letters, and comments on previously published papers. ECMF has been indexed in ESCI, Scopus, and Ei Compendex.

The scope embraces theoretical, experimental, and computational investigations of the aspects related but not limited to the following areas:

    • Interface interaction
    • Multiphase vortex dynamics
    • Heat transfers
    • Phase changes
    • Multiphase flow regimes
    • Reacting flows
    • Multiphase turbulence mechanisms
    • Multiphase flow dynamics
    • Particle behaviors and interactions
    • Disperse dynamics
    • Flow instability
    • Multiphase flow visualization
    • Gas-liquid/particle flows
    • Porous media
    • Granular flows
    • Computational methods and modeling
    • Measurement techniques
    • Data processing methods

The fields of application include nuclear, chemical, petroleum, environmental, mineral, pharmaceutical, bio-mechanical, mechanical engineering, and so on.

The effort of the Editorial Board will be ensuring the Journal to publish novel researches that advance the field, and will provide authors with a productive, fair, and timely review experience.
