The iterative upgrading of artificial intelligence (AI) has become an inevitable trend in education reform, and intelligent technology has profoundly reshaped the spatial form and ontological structures of education, while also extending the contemporary value of education. The knowledge and skills transmission and social cognitive growth value forms of AI met humanity’s basic needs for survival and development. This adaptation aligned education in the age of AI with human developmental demands, yet human aspirations for educational value extend beyond this. AI further needed human-tailored appropriateness to bridge practical logical and the internal concept of education, treat AI as a way of unconcealment that reversely propelled human beings toward self-reflection, thereby exploring the wisdom of action beyond AI, and attending to the civilizational literacy deep within. Only when individuals in education possessed the action logic of reflective and experimental action can they intuit those neglected spiritual values. The deep integration of AI and education constituted an endeavor toward harmonious states among human beings and society, among individuals, and between the self and itself across different spatial forms. From the philosophical dimension of generation, it promoted the all-round development of student subjectivity in terms of qualification, socialization and subjectificationn. Therefore, education in the AI-empowered era can enable every person to achieve free and comprehensive development and return to the authentic purpose of education only by upholding the unity of technological intentionality and educational value, and by constructing an educational system that both respected individual differences and was fully devoted to the development of students’ spirit and creativity.
