To analyze the spatial distribution and influencing factors of forest wellness resources in Shanxi Province, and to provide scientific basis for their rational development and full utilization.
Firstly, based on ArcGIS, the spatial distribution status of forest wellness resources in Shanxi Province was analyzed by methods such as the nearest neighbor index, standard deviation ellipse, and kernel density estimation. Secondly, through sorting out previous relevant literature, factors influencing the development of the forest wellness resources distribution were selected. Multiple methods including buffer analysis, accessibility analysis, the entropy weight method, and geographical detector in ArcGIS were used to demonstrate the impact of each factor on the spatial distribution of forest wellness resources.
1) The forest wellness resources in Shanxi Province are unevenly distributed, showing an aggregated distribution in the north-south direction. There are significant differences in the distribution among different prefecture-level cities: most cities present a clustered or random distribution, and only Xinzhou City shows a discrete distribution; 2) On the whole, Shanxi Province presents a core-periphery structure with one high-density core and two medium-high-density areas. The high-density core is located in Jincheng City. The two medium-high-density areas are respectively located at the junction of Taiyuan City and Jinzhong City and at the junction of Linfen City, Changzhi City, and Jinzhong City; 3) Among the influencing factors, the research objects show high dependence on terrain, 93.6% of the resources are distributed in small and medium undulating mountainous areas with an elevation range of 500-2 000 m; the hydrophilic feature is significant. 67.6% of the resources are distributed within the 5 km buffer zone of water systems, and 91.8% are within the 10 km buffer zone. 89.0% of the resources are distributed within the 10 km buffer zone of main traffic lines, and all resources can be reached within 1 hour starting from the nearest road endpoints, reflecting excellent transportation accessibility. The influence intensity of other influencing factors on the spatial distribution of forest wellness resources, from large to small, is as follows: wellness population > economic development > tourism impetus > wellness awareness > wellness ability. In the detection of interaction factors, the wellness population has the greatest impact on other factors. Among them, the interaction between wellness ability and wellness awareness has a greatly enhanced effect.
The polarization effect generated by the agglomeration of forest wellness resources should be fully utilized to play its active role. At the same time, it is also necessary to develop in line with local conditions and be vigilant against possible homogenization problems.
