The purpose of this article is to further explore the possibility of deep integration between inorganic chemistry experimental courses and ideological and political education for college students. It discusses in detail from four aspects: introducing the history of chemical development, combining character stories, introducing modern cutting-edge technologies, and focusing on chemistry and people's livelihood. Taking the purification of crude salt in the inorganic chemistry experimental course as an example, this study explores and practices the integration of four aspects into the classroom: tracing the history of salt development, introducing the deeds of patriotic industrialists, comparing ancient and modern crude salt purification operations, and introducing contemporary cutting-edge purification technologies. The classroom effect is further reflected through teaching evaluation. The practical results indicate that the integration of inorganic chemistry experimental courses with ideological and political education is feasible and has its unique advantages. The integration can effectively achieve the teaching purpose of ideological and political education. At the same time, the practical results of this article also provide certain reference value for the ideological and political construction of other similar courses.
