In recent years, graduate education in China has developed rapidly, and the scale of scientific research and graduate training in physical disciplines at science and engineering universities has also expanded significantly. As an important theoretical course for postgraduate students of physics major, high-quality teaching of Advanced Quantum Mechanics is of high significance for cultivating the innovative capabilities and promoting the research level of those students. In combination with the characteristics of scientific research and students training in physics department of engineering-focused universities, this paper summarizes the concepts and practices in building the course system and reforming the teaching of Advanced Quantum Mechanics in recent years from four aspects: expanding teaching objectives, reconstructing teaching content, improving teaching methods, and ideological and political education in the curriculum, in the form of teaching examples.
