Due to the extremely short duration of shock waves acting on materials, to accurately analyze the physical properties of materials under shock action, sensors with very high measurement accuracy are required. This paper designs a parallel resistance array shock wave position sensor, which uses an electric probe connected to several columns of parallel resistances to measure the moment when the shock wave reaches the point under test, thereby determining the evolution law of the shock wave front in the material. In the paper, a model consistent with the actual circuit is built using Simulink in Matlab to analyze the impact of several component parameters on the relaxation time of the voltage drop edge of the sensor output. The results show that the relaxation time of the voltage drop edge of the parallel sensor is all below 11ns, and less than that of the equivalent component parameter series sensor (35ns), effectively improving the measurement accuracy. The results in the paper provide a reliable theoretical basis for the design of shock wave position sensors and the selection of component parameters in experiments.
