Textured ferroelectric ceramics are a class of materials developed in the past 40 years to improve performance of ferroelectric ceramics by texturing technique, which has attracted much attention for their piezoelectric properties far exceed random oriented ceramics and cost lower than single crystals. This review focuses on advances in textured ferroelectric ceramics with perovskite structure, including characterization and evaluation methods of textured ceramics, preparation process of perovskite ferroelectric ceramics, influencing factors of texture degree, and development of piezoelectric performances of representative ferroelectrics such as lead-based relaxor ferroelectrics,(Na, Bi)TiO3-based,(K, Na)NbO3-based, BaTiO3-based and BiScO3-PbTiO3 based ceramics. Finally, some hot issues in textured perovskite ferroelectric ceramics research are summarized, and future development is also prospected.
