As urbanization progresses, a novel urban transportation paradigm known as Mobility as a Service (MaaS) has emerged, addressing the principles of environmentally friendly travel and sustainable transport development. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of the research advancements related to the burgeoning transport concept of MaaS within the urban transportation sector. Utilizing a Reference review methodology, the authors articulate various perspectives on the evolution of MaaS and conduct a comparative analysis of demonstration applications based on the MaaS framework across different regions in China. Furthermore, the paper delves into the current state of MaaS in China, examining the challenges it encounters, while considering existing domestic MaaS platforms and the specific developments of MaaS in Guangzhou. Building upon this analysis, the authors propose strategies and approaches for the advancement of MaaS platforms in China. This study serves as a significant reference and guide for the promotion and implementation of MaaS within the Chinese context.
