A Switching-Target Strategy for Multiple-Spacecraft Terminal Interception

This paper proposes a control strategy focused on the terminal interception of a multiple-pursuer/multiple-evader spacecraft pursuit–evasion game. The strategy dynamically switches the capture target for pursuers based on the real-time state of the spacecraft. Firstly, the analytic hierarchy process is used to quantify the state of the pursuers and evaders as a weight matrix. This allows for the allocation of spacecraft to be transformed into the optimal matching of the weighted bipartite graph. Subsequently, the Kuhn–Munkres algorithm is used to search for the optimal matching. Then, the linear quadratic differential game model is used to solve the optimal control strategy of multiple-on-one problems. Finally, the effects of switching control strategies are given by numerical simulations. The results indicate that cooperative guidance leads to better performance of interception, and switching targets helps shorten the terminal distance and increase the success rate.

Dynamic analysis of tethered defunct satellites with solar panels

A precise dynamic model for towing and removing a defunct satellite with solar panels in orbit using a tethered net often has low computational efficiency owing to the complex contact and collision between the net and panels, which is not conducive to research. To solve this problem, a “single main tether-multiple subtether” bifurcation structure with beads was employed as the tethered net model. This study investigated the dynamics of tethered defunct satellites with solar panels, particularly the behavior of the attitude of the tethered satellite, oscillation of the main tether, and vibration of solar panels under different conditions. The results showed that different attachment configurations of the subtethers and the flexibility of the main tether have an evident impact on the dynamic characteristics of the system.
