Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most popular cancers among both men and women, with increasing incidence. The enhanced analytical load data from the pathology laboratory, integrated with described intra- and inter-variabilities through the calculation of biomarkers, has prompted the quest for robust machine-based approaches in combination with routine practice. In histopathology, deep learning (DL) techniques have been applied at large due to their potential for supporting the analysis and forecasting of medically appropriate molecular phenotypes and microsatellite instability. Considering this background, the current research work presents a metaheuristics technique with deep convolutional neural network-based colorectal cancer classification based on histopathological imaging data (MDCNN-C3HI). The presented MDCNN-C3HI technique majorly examines the histopathological images for the classification of colorectal cancer (CRC). At the initial stage, the MDCNN-C3HI technique applies a bilateral filtering approach to get rid of the noise. Then, the proposed MDCNN-C3HI technique uses an enhanced capsule network with the Adam optimizer for the extraction of feature vectors. For CRC classification, the MDCNN-C3HI technique uses a DL modified neural network classifier, whereas the tunicate swarm algorithm is used to fine-tune its hyperparameters. To demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed MDCNN-C3HI technique on CRC classification, a wide range of experiments was conducted. The outcomes from the extensive experimentation procedure confirmed the superior performance of the proposed MDCNN-C3HI technique over other existing techniques, achieving a maximum accuracy of 99.45%, a sensitivity of 99.45% and a specificity of 99.45%.

Securing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems is vital to safeguard the processes involved in operating the drones. This involves the execution of robust communication encryption processes to defend the data exchanged between the UAVs and ground control stations. Intrusion detection, powered by Deep Learning (DL) techniques such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), allows the classification and identification of potential attacks or illegal objects in the operational region of the drone, thus distinguishing them from the routine basics. The current research work offers a new Hybrid Arithmetic Optimizer Algorithm with DL method for Secure Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Network (HAOADL-UAVN) model. The purpose of the proposed HAOADL-UAVN technique is to secure the communication that occurs in UAV networks via threat detection. At the primary level, the network data is normalized through min-max normalization approach in order to scale the input dataset into a useful format. The HAOA is used to select a set of optimal features. Next, the security is attained via Deep Belief Network Autoencoder (DBN-AE)-based threat detection. At last, the hyperparameter choice of the DBN-AE method is implemented using the Seagull Optimization Algorithm (SOA). A huge array of simulations was conducted using the benchmark datasets to demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed HAOADL-UAVN algorithm. The comprehensive results underline the supremacy of the HAOADL-UAVN methodology under distinct evaluation metrics.

The outbreak of the pandemic, caused by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), has affected the daily activities of people across the globe. During COVID-19 outbreak and the successive lockdowns, Twitter was heavily used and the number of tweets regarding COVID-19 increased tremendously. Several studies used Sentiment Analysis (SA) to analyze the emotions expressed through tweets upon COVID-19. Therefore, in current study, a new Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) with Machine Learning-driven SA (ABCML-SA) model is developed for conducting Sentiment Analysis of COVID-19 Twitter data. The prime focus of the presented ABCML-SA model is to recognize the sentiments expressed in tweets made upon COVID-19. It involves data pre-processing at the initial stage followed by n-gram based feature extraction to derive the feature vectors. For identification and classification of the sentiments, the Support Vector Machine (SVM) model is exploited. At last, the ABC algorithm is applied to fine tune the parameters involved in SVM. To demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed ABCML-SA model, a sequence of simulations was conducted. The comparative assessment results confirmed the effectual performance of the proposed ABCML-SA model over other approaches.

The ability to make accurate energy predictions while considering all related energy factors allows production plants, regulatory bodies, and governments to meet energy demand and assess the effects of energy-saving initiatives. When energy consumption falls within normal parameters, it will be possible to use the developed model to predict energy consumption and develop improvements and mitigating measures for energy consumption. The objective of this model is to accurately predict energy consumption without data limitations and provide results that are easily interpretable. The proposed model is an implementation of the stacked Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) snapshot ensemble combined with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and meta-learner. Hebrail and Berard’s Individual Household Electric-Power Consumption (IHEPC) dataset incorporated with weather data are used to analyse the model’s accuracy with predicting energy consumption. The model is trained, and the results measured using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), and coefficient of determination (
