Overview

  • iLIVER is a quarterly international English journal in the field of hepatology, peer-reviewed and open access, hosted by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Tsinghua University, published by Tsinghua University Press, and distributed globally by Elsevier. iLIVER aims to present and disseminate the innovations and practical achievements in the field of hepatology, and to provide core academic resources for multidisciplinary physicians, experts and scholars engaged in the basic, preventive, clinical, translational science and medical interdisciplinary research of the hepatobiliary system.

    iLIVER is innovative, intelligent, integrative, international. It is going to present innovative, characteristic and high-quality publications; make full use of network platform and data intelligence technology; integrate diversified intellectual and academic resources; promote the interdisciplinary research in the global hepatology community.

    Editor-in-chief is Prof. Jiahong Dong, the dean of the School of Clinical Medicine in Tsinghua University and president of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital. And we are quite honored to invite Prof. Pierre-Alain Clavien from University Hospital of Zurich, Prof. Jia Fan from Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Prof. Chao-Long Chen from Changgeng Memorial Hospital to be our Co-EiCs. The Editorial Board members come from over 10 countries around the world, and they are all outstanding doctors, engineering scientists and scholars engaged in the field of hepatology.

    iLIVER publishes Original article, Meta-analysis, Review, Consensus and Practice Guideline, Editorial, Correspondence, Short communication concerning clinical medicine, translational medicine, basic medicine and public health in the field of hepatobiliary system.

    The scope includes but is not limited to the following aspects:

    1. Studies on the structure, function and regulation mechanism of liver;

    2. Basic studies on hepatobiliary diseases, including etiology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology and prevention strategies;

    3. Prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and chronic disease management of hepatobiliary diseases;

    4. Studies on public health related to epidemiology, prevention, monitoring and health policy of hepatobiliary diseases;

    5. Translational science related to liver health;

    6. Application of data and intelligent technology in the field of hepatology;

    7. Clinical drug trials and medical device clinical trials related to hepatobiliary diseases;

    8. Interdisciplinary research focusing on hepatology.
