Overview

  • As a professional and academic English periodical in the area of urban planning and design in China, China City Planning Review (CCPR) is jointly supported by the Urban Planning Society of China, the Center for Human Settlements of Tsinghua University, the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University, and the Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Urban Planning & Design Institute Co. Ltd. CCPR aims at building up an academic platform for world-wide readers to get the knowledge about urban planning and development in China. It includes articles talking about the problems, trends, and relative policies of urban planning and development in China from both theoretical and practical viewpoints and combines abundant academic information with valuable pictures, specially rendered drawings, master plans, and photography, offering English readers with different opinions and criticism from home and abroad and giving a full understanding of what has happened or is happening in Chinese cities. The journal has the columns of “Debates & Ideas,” “Theme Documents,” “Critical Insight,” “City Profile,” etc., hoping to serve as a window to demonstrate construction achievements of Chinese cities and a platform of academic exchanges for Chinese and foreign scholars.
