Recently, Physics and Engineering has successfully passed the evaluation of Scopus, the world largest abstract and citation database, and has been officially indexed.

Supervised by the Ministry of Education of China, sponsored by Tsinghua University and published by Tsinghua University Press, Physics and Engineering is a bi-monthly peer reviewed academic journal launched in 1981, operating under the guidance of the University Physics Teaching Steering Committee of China. Professor Qing Wang serves as the Editor‑in‑Chief of the journal.

Focusing on physics‑related disciplinary frontiers, interdisciplinary progress, physics applications in modern engineering technologies, and university physics teaching practices, the journal builds a professional communication platform for university physics educators, students and researchers at home and abroad. It features publications covering new developments and trends in physics and its interdisciplinary fields, teaching reform explorations and practical experiences for physics courses. As one of the initial member journals of the SciOpen journal cluster, Physics and Engineering is hosted on the SciOpen publishing platform for global dissemination of its academic outputs.

This inclusion in Scopus marks an important milestone for the journal’s international development. Going forward, Physics and Engineering will continue to uphold rigorous academic standards, further boost its international visibility, and strive to serve broader global academic exchanges for physics education and interdisciplinary research.

Call for Papers

Physics and Engineering welcomes high‑quality submissions, including original research papers, review articles, teaching research papers and perspective commentaries. Relevant contributions concerning physics research, physics‑engineering intersection, and university physics teaching are highly encouraged.
