Recently, the Teaching Steering Committee for University Physics Course of the Ministry of Education released the Fundamental Requirements for University Physics Course in Science and Engineering (2023 Edition), adding essential topics—including the superposition principle, physical quantities and operators, identical particles, and stationary perturbation theory—to the quantum physics section of university physics course. Integrating these additions coherently with the existing course structure represents a critical challenge in current pedagogical research. This paper presents an optimized design for the content of quantum physics section, accounting for both the fundamental theoretical framework of quantum mechanics and practical constraints on class hours. We propose tailored content frameworks for three scenarios: courses with limited, standard, and increased class hours.
