Abstract

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as an important class of catalytic materials owing to their high specific surface areas, tunable metal sites, and versatile catalytic properties. In this work, a binuclear copper MOF was immobilized on activated carbon to afford a heterogeneous Cu-HIN/C catalyst for the hydroboration of alkynes and alkenes under mild reaction conditions. The resulting catalyst exhibited broad substrate compatibility toward a diverse range of alkynes and alkenes, affording the corresponding hydroboration products in moderate to excellent yields.
