Abstract

Nanofluid containing CuO particles with a size of 40 nm in the water-based fluid has been used in this research. Measurements of heat transfer coefficient and critical heat flux in seven different concentrations of nanofluid including 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500, and 1000 mg/L have shown that firstly, the boiling heat transfer coefficient at the concentration of 50 mg/L has the highest amount and increases by 50% compared to pure water. Secondly, the critical heat flux at the concentration of 100 mg/L has the highest value and has shown a 92% increase over deionized water.
