Zero waste is a set of principles focused on waste prevention and elimination that encourage the re-design of resource life cycles or advanced techniques to convert waste to valuable products so that all products are fully reused. Efforts are needed to reduce waste generation to nothing, or as close to nothing as possible, by minimizing excess consumption and maximizing the recovery of solid wastes through recycling and efficient conversion technologies, hence avoiding the discharges to land, water or air that threaten the environment or human health. This Special Issue aims to present recent advances of waste minimization, waste treatment, waste utilization, and waste conversion.
