The circular economy transition in the built environment is accelerating, yet evidence on how circular practices improve resource efficiency and mitigate environmental impacts remains fragmented. This Special Issue focuses on circular strategies for buildings and infrastructure. Topics may include recycled and low-impact construction materials, recovery and upgrading technologies, circular design, adaptive reuse and refurbishment, and closed-loop construction and demolition waste management. We welcome studies that evaluate technical performance, environmental benefits, economic feasibility, and implementation conditions using experimental research, life-cycle assessment, material-flow analysis, or techno-economic assessment. Together, these contributions will support evidence-based decisions for more resource-efficient and lower-impact built environments.
