The urgent need for sustainable energy technologies has stimulated extensive research on advanced carbon materials for energy storage, electrocatalysis, and electrosynthesis. Carbon-based materials offer unique advantages, including high surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, tunable porosity and nanostructures, rich surface chemistry, and versatile heteroatom doping. These features make them highly attractive for batteries, supercapacitors, electrocatalytic reactions, and emerging electrochemical synthesis processes. This special issue aims to highlight recent advances in the rational design, synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced carbon materials for sustainable energy storage and chemical production.
