She received her Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Cologne in 1980, followed by a second Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 1983 and a Master's degree in Chemistry in 1986, all from the same university. In 1990, she completed a joint doctoral program between the University of Cologne and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States and obtained her doctoral degree.

She currently holds the position of Full Professor (Guest Professor) at TU Graz in Austria. Prior to this, she was a Professor of Bioengineering, Bioscience, and Materials Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. Charlotte A. E. Hauser’s main academic achievements lie primarily in biomedical engineering, nano‑biomaterials, and regenerative medicine. She led the development of the world’s first fully humanised recombinant coagulation factor VIII (hFVIII), which was marketed under the trade name Nuwiq and approved by the FDA, EMA, and other multinational regulatory agencies in 2014.

She earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Granada in 1999, and later obtained her Doctorate in Nutrition and Bromatology from the same university in 2004.

Raquel Alarcón Rodriguez is a Senior Lecturer at the Latvian Institute of Health Sciences, University of Almeria, and has recently been certified by the faculty and by the National Quality Assessment and Certification Agency (ANECA). As Director of the University Health Science Research Center (CEINSA) in Almeria, she focuses on the quality and dissemination of research results.

She establishes a metal nanoparticle-based colorimetric assay for creatine kinase that offers a simple, instrument-free, and visually readable detection method. Its significance lies in translating this biosensing platform into a practical point-of-care solution for the continuous, real-time monitoring of muscle physiological status, thereby enabling more precise and adaptive rehabilitation management for sports injuries.
