Aalborg University, Denmark
He graduated from Northeast Electric Power University and obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Power and Control from Durham University in the United Kingdom. Since 2002, he has been a professor at Aalborg University in Denmark.
He is a tenured professor at Aalborg University in Denmark, a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, the Director of the Wind Power Research Center at the Department of Energy Technology, Aalborg University, a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Fellow), a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET Fellow), and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the United Kingdom.
His research interests include renewable energy generation, power electronics, modern power systems and smart grids, as well as multi-energy systems and devices. He has led and participated in numerous major projects funded by the EU’s 6th and 7th Framework Programs, the Horizon 2020 Program, the Danish Strategic Research Council, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Major International Cooperation Projects. He has supervised more than 100 postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. students, and visiting scholars, and has published over 1,000 technical papers. He serves as a member of project review committees and an invited expert reviewer for several international research organizations. He is also an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and Editor-in-Chief of international journals such as IET Renewable Power Generation.

Tashkent State Technical University, Uzbekistan
He was born in 1945, Doctor of Engineering. In 1994, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Tashkent State Technical University.In 1999, he was awarded the title of “Honored Youth Teacher of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, and became a member of the Energy Efficiency Program for Central Asia and the Pacific under the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).In recognition of his efforts to promote friendship, unity, and cooperation among the various ethnic groups of Uzbekistan and to strengthen international relations, he was awarded the “Order of Friendship” in 2019.
Contributions in the field of static stability:He proved that the static stability conditions of power systems derived from the quadratic form of the Lyapunov function are consistent with those obtained using the Routh–Hurwitz criterion.Effective criterion for identifying critical generators:He developed an analytical criterion for effectively identifying generators that are close to the static stability boundary in complex power systems.
In the field of synchronous generator mathematical modeling:He established a mathematical model for improving the stability reserve coefficient of Electric Energy Systems (EES) through excitation control devices of synchronous generators.
Hydraulic shock prevention model:He was the first to develop a mathematical model for an automatic device designed to prevent hydraulic shock in pump aggregates, for which he obtained a patent.
He has supervised 9 master’s students and 14 doctoral students to successful completion of their degrees, and has participated multiple times in the development of technical standards.

The University of Western Ontario, Canada
Professor Ying Zheng received her Ph.D. from Western University in 1999. She was appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Brunswick, where she was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor in 2004 and Professor in 2008. In 2018, she joined Western University as a Professor. She is a Canada Research Chair (Tier I) in Chemical Reaction and Intensification with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Western University. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Engineering Institute of Canada, and the Chemical Institute of Canada as well as a Fellow of the Royal Society of chemistry (UK) and the Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK). Her research interests lie in the field of catalysis and catalytic processes for clean energy innovations. New catalytic materials along with catalytic processes are developed for application in CO2 utilization, N2 fixation, H2 production and clean/biofuel upgrading. Recently, she has successfully launched projects focused on critical minerals and lithium battery recycling, utilizing organic solvents and mechanochemical methods to extract valuable elements.

Northeast Electric Power University, China
He received the Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Northeast Electric Power University, Jilin, China, in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2003. In 1997, he joined Northeast Electric Power University. Professor Yan served as the Vice Dean (2004-009) and Dean (2009-2017) of the School of Electrical Engineering, Director(2022-) of the Key Laboratory of Modern Power System Simulation, Control, and Renewable Energy Technologies, Ministry of Education, at Northeast Electric Power University.
He serves as the Vice Chair of the IEEE PES Technical Committee on Renewable Energy Integration in China, a Consultant for the China-Korea Bilateral Wind Power Symposium, and a member and Secretary-General of the Electrical Mathematics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. He has also been a long-term editorial board member for six journals, including “Automation of Electric Power Systems”, “Electric Power Automation Equipment”, and “Electric Power”.
His research interests include the operation and planning of power systems with high penetration of renewable energy, stability analysis and control of power systems with power electronics, large-scale energy storage optimization, and the integrated utilization of demand-side management resources. He has published more than 120 papers in journals indexed by SCI and EI, including IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications.

Northeast Electric Power University, China
Dr. Yi Wang is a Professor at the School of Energy and Power Engineering, Northeast Electric Power University, and a recipient of the National Overseas Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program of China. She previously served as a Research Scientist at the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore.
Dr. Wang received her Bachelor and Master degree from Tianjin University, China, in 2011 and 2013, respectively and a dual degree in Finance from Nankai University in 2011. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2017. She subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Hong Kong and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), USA. She has also been a visiting scholar at the University of Bologna (Italy), the Spanish National Energy and Meteorology Research Center (CIEMAT), Tokyo Polytechnic University (Japan), and the UK Met Office.
Her research focuses on urban resilience and adaptation mechanisms under extreme climate event, integrated optimization of urban building–energy–climate systems, as well as the optimization of renewable energy deployment and multi-energy system integration in urban environments. Her research aims to address key scientific and engineering challenges in urban climate resilience, city energy efficiency, and the deep integration of renewable energy in low-carbon cities under the “carbon neutrality” framework. She has led and participated in several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Environment Agency of Singapore, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), the European Council (Horizon 2020 Program), and the Hong Kong Research Grants Council. She is a core member of the development team for the next-generation variable-resolution climate model NG-MPAS in the deep tropics. She serves as an editorial board member of The Global Environmental Engineers and guest editor of Atmosphere.
