I. Open Access Commitment
To promote the widespread dissemination and sharing of research findings in tree health and enhance the global impact of tree health research, Tree Health actively responds to the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science and the initiatives of the China Association for Science and Technology Open Science Promotion Consortium. Effective June 2026, the journal officially transitions to a Diamond Open Access model.
The journal commits that all peer-reviewed and accepted articles will be immediately and permanently available for free full-text reading and download to readers worldwide via the journal's official website upon publication. No article processing charges (APC) are charged to authors, and no subscription fees are charged to readers.
II. Scope of Open Access
(1) Current Issues: All newly published articles are made open access immediately upon the effective date of this statement.
(2) Backfile Access: All articles published since the journal's inception have been converted to open access works and are freely available on the journal's website.
(3) Data and Supplementary Materials: Authors are encouraged to deposit core data supporting paper conclusions, tree pathology atlases, molecular sequences, etc., in publicly recognized databases and provide access links within the article.
Tree Health Open Access License Agreement
I. License Type
All open access articles in this journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).
II. User Rights
Subject to the terms of this license, any user may reproduce and distribute journal articles in any medium or format without additional permission from the editorial office or authors. These rights cannot be revoked by the licensor (i.e., the copyright holder).
III. Conditions of Use
(1) Attribution (BY)
• Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license provided, and indication of whether changes were made to the original article.
• Attribution must be done in a reasonable manner but must not suggest the licensor endorses the user or their use.
• Recommended format: Author Name (Year). Article Title. Tree Health, Volume(Issue), Page range. DOI: xxxxx
(2) NonCommercial (NC)
• Journal articles may not be used for commercial purposes.
• Commercial purposes include but are not limited to: reproducing or distributing articles for profit, integrating article content into commercial products, or providing article access behind a paywall.
(3) NoDerivatives (ND)
• Articles may not be remixed, transformed, or modified in any way.
• Users wishing to create derivative works based on article content (e.g., translations, adaptations) must obtain prior written authorization from the editorial office.
IV. Copyright Ownership and Author Rights
(1) Copyright License:Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the authors must sign a Copyright License Agreement with the editorial office, granting the Editorial Department of Tree Health the exclusive right to exercise the paper's economic rights worldwide, including the rights of reproduction, distribution, information network dissemination, translation, and compilation.
(2) Author-Retained Rights: After publication, authors retain the following rights:
• Use the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license;
• Compile the full article in the author's own non-journal collected works;
• Cite portions of the article in subsequent works;
• Deposit the final version of the paper on personal websites or institutional repositories, provided standard journal publication information is included.
V. Author Self-Archiving Policy
The journal encourages reasonable self-archiving by authors, subject to specific regulations.

VI. Data Sharing Policy
The journal encourages authors to share data when appropriate for their research to facilitate reproducibility of scientific research:
(1) Shared Content: Raw data, observation records, experimental results, code, models, algorithms, etc.
(2) Storage Platforms: Deposition on open access repositories is recommended, with access links provided at the end of the article.
(3) Data Statement: Data sharing status should be described in the "Data Availability Statement" section of the article.
VII. Publication Fees
The journal currently charges no article processing fees (APC), nor does it charge authors page charges, review fees, or other fees. The journal is committed to advancing the Diamond Open Access model to ensure equitable dissemination of academicfindings.
VIII. Policy Revision
This policy will be revised periodically in response to developments in the open access movement, changes in international academic publishing standards, and relevant guidelines issued by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. Revised policies will be promptly announced on the journal's website.
