Abstract

As a governance instrument integrating technical specifications and institutional constraints, standards for educational technology equipment provide crucial support for advancing China’s strategy of building a strong education system. Based on national and industry standard data of educational technology equipment from 2001 to 2024, this paper constructed a collaborative network of educational technology equipment standards. By adopting ArcGIS spatial analysis and social network analysis methods, the paper identified the spatiotemporal pattern and structural features of the standard cooperation network. The results revealed that: First, the standard collaborative network presented a “multi-core radial”spatiotemporal distribution pattern dense in the east and sparse in the west, with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and Zhejiang as the core hubs. Second, the scale of the network has expanded continuously, and the interactive relationships among participants have become increasingly complex. The network exhibited advantages of high collaboration potential, high communication efficiency, and low social distance, while meanwhile suffering from the Matthew Effect in resource allocation. Third, in terms of key nodes in the standard cooperation network, the collaboration scope has evolved from a government-dominated model to multistakeholder collaboration; the cooperation focus has shifted from sports infrastructure to intelligent educational technology equipment; and the cooperation model has upgraded from effective government intervention to industry-university linkage and promotion. This study broadened the theoretical boundary of standardization in educational technology equipment, and provided decision-making reference for accelerating the construction of an education powerhouse led by standards.
