Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to systematically investigate the shape-preserving properties of the local integro quartic spline. It aims to derive and establish sufficient theoretical conditions to guarantee the convexity, monotonicity, and positivity of the approximation results. Furthermore, several representative numerical examples are provided to intuitively verify and demonstrate the excellent shape-preserving performance and practical applicability of the constructed spline.
