Abstract

Let C n be an n-dimensional cross-polytope and Γ p ( C n ) be the smallest positive number γ such that C n can be covered by p translates of γ C n . We obtain better estimates of Γ 2 n ( C n ) for small n and a universal upper bound of Γ 2 n ( C n ) for all positive integers n.
