Abstract

Based on the Model Builder and Application Builder of Comsol Multiphysics, an app was developed to analyze the vibration characteristics of continuous systems, including slender rods, thin plates, and membranes. Through a designed interactive user interface, users can input different geometric dimensions and material parameters, select various boundary conditions, and obtain the corresponding calculation results. The app can output natural frequencies of different modes, mode shapes and their animations, positions of nodal points, nodal lines, and nodal circles, harmonic response results, and stress-strain distributions for the three types of systems. This app can serve not only as an auxiliary teaching resource for courses related to vibration and mechanics, but also as a tool that can be combined with experimental measurements to provide useful references for structural engineering design.
