With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, AI-assisted programming and numerical simulation provide new approaches for college physics teaching. To address the high cost of commercial simulation software, its limited flexibility, and the high threshold of independent programming in traditional numerical simulation teaching, this paper analyzes the advantages of AI-assisted numerical simulation in improving teaching efficiency, reducing programming difficulty, and enhancing students' visual understanding of physical principles. It also discusses its limitations in computational accuracy, engineering validation, and complex-scenario modeling. Based on teaching practice, this paper proposes application strategies for integrating AI-assisted simulation into college physics teaching. The analysis shows that, by combining technological empowerment with the essential goals of physics education and by maintaining an appropriate scope of application, the value of AI-assisted teaching can be fully utilized. This approach can promote the transformation of college physics teaching toward greater efficiency, visualization, and practical engagement.
