Addressing the core challenges in current university physics instruction, such as fragmented knowledge systems, the disconnect between theory and engineering practice, and the insufficient cultivation of engineering thinking, this paper, guided by situated cognition theory, constructs an engineering literacy-oriented situated teaching model for university physics. Taking the mechanical deconstruction of the humanoid robot “Wu BOT” martial arts performance at the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala as an example, the design logic and implementation pathway of this model are systematically elaborated. The model provides a transferable theoretical framework and practical pathway for achieving the organic unity of knowledge integration, competency development, and value cultivation in university physics courses. It also offers a reference for the reform of other foundational courses within the context of Emerging Engineering Education.
