Abstract

Anthony J. Leggett is a leader in theoretical low-temperature physics and foundations of quantum mechanics, and is a rigorous yet kind British gentleman. The author spent a year as Leggett’s visiting scholar and witnessed he receive Nobel Prize in Physics in 2003. This paper traces the author’s scientific connections and interactions with Leggett, and introduces comprehensively Leggett’s physics and style.
