Abstract

There are some problems in teaching of mechanics course in physics majors at second-tier universities, such as complex knowledge points, students’rigid thinking, lack of systematic understanding and summary. In response to these issues, this paper was guided by the classical and modern views of time and space, focused on two dimensions of mechanics theory foundation and typical mechanics problems. It also integrated teaching system, summarized teaching content, enhanced students' thinking training, and Integrate the ideological and political elements into the teaching methods and tools of mechanics. Combined with the online SPOC course system and virtual simulation experiments, a deep integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills was achieved, and formed a teaching practice process of mechanics with the main line of “theme, exploration, and performance”. Combined knowledge impartation and value guidance, this method can encourage students to focus on basics skills and practice abilities, and leading them to become an excellent physics teacher.
