Abstract

Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) technology is one of the important modern engineering technologies, widely used in military, mining, urban construction, and other fields. In the education and training process for undergraduate and graduate students in engineering, optics is an important part of the public basic courses. Whereas their understanding of light is often confined to formulas and physical concepts related to the light field. In practical engineering, they do not know how to utilize and control light. Applying DFOS related equipment in the optics classroom not only supplements the dry theoretical teaching but also showcases the development of modern science and technology in our country. It further deepens the connection between theory and practice.
