Considering the stratification characteristics of the roadway roof, the Reissner thick theory is used to establish the stress calculation model of the roadway interlayer roof. The roadway interlayer roof is regarded as a three-dimensional strain thick plate, and the stress of the interlayer roadway roof under different conditions is solved by combining the knowledge of mechanics distributed. The roof deformation and failure characteristics and laws of soft and hard interbedded roadways are analyzed. Taking the 6506 working face of a mine in Shandong as the engineering background, the calculation models of different roadway roof combinations are established through FLAC3D numerical simulation software, and the roof rock strata of interbedded roadways are analyzed. The impact of the soft and hard nature of the roadway roof stress and failure depth. Thestudy resultsshow that the failure occurred at the end of the rock layer at the bottom of the roof of the roadway and gradually expanded upward, eventually forming a falling arch. The stress of the roadway roof under different lithology combinations is mainly concentrated in the hard rock, and the differences in the lithology of the roof layers are more likely to cause stress concentration. Hard rock can effectively weaken the damage depth of the roadway roof, so that the deformation of the roof is much smaller than that of the soft rock roof. Due to the weak supporting capacity of the soft rock roof, the internal stress of the rock strata can easily reach its ultimate strength, resulting in a large increase in the depth and scope of the roadway roof failure.
