As an important way of urbanization, the development of underground space is faced with higher risk compared with similar ground projects. The life cycle risk management of urban underground space is studied taking Shenyang City as an example from the perspective of project owners. Firstly, based on the status of social economy and urban underground space in Shengyang, the scope of life cycle risk management of urban underground space is defined and the source of risk factors and the mechanism of their hazards are analyzed for the establishment of an index system for life cycle risk level assessment. Secondly, a fuzzy gray integrated evaluation model based on sine whitening weight function is built, which is used to evaluate the life cycle risk level of urban underground space along with the index system. Thirdly, the model is validated by taking a project along Youth Street as an example. Meanwhile, using the risk contribution degree to analyze the main risk factors of the sample project. Finally, the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to prevent and control the life cycle risks of urban underground space, which are proposed from the three levels of government departments, project owners and social environment.
