With the economic development of our country, functional specialization of urban agglomerations has become a trend. This study analyzed the characteristics on spatial distribution of functions in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration and discussed its influencing factors by negative binomial regression analysis. The study showed that: (1)the different functions of listed companies had different spatial distribution mode. Higher-level functions such as enterprise management, business service, research and development tended to distribute in the central cities, while lower-level functions such as production and manufacturing, logistics warehousing, sales and after-sales tended to distribute in the peripheral cities. However, very few higher-level functions also distributed in the peripheral cities closer to the central cities. (2)The listed companies presented obvious agglomeration of the same function, but not obvious co-agglomeration between different functions. (3)All the functions of listed companies were influenced by traffic development level factors, but there was heterogeneity in other influencing factors. The enterprise management function paid more attention to the degree of economic openness; business services, sales and after-sales functions paid more attention to economic development level, industrial structure; research and development function paid more attention to human resources; production and manufacturing function tended to land cost, economic development level, industrial structure and other factors.
