Abstract

Burn dressings have the functions of preventing wound infection, inhibiting inflammation, and promoting wound healing in the treatment of burns, especially in the treatment of refractory burns. Therefore, it is urgent to develop highly efficient burn dressings to treat burns. Burn and wound management is the core of treatment. This article studies the specific roles of different types of dressings in burn wound healing, and elaborates on the application of inorganic dressings containing a single metal element or nanotech-based dressings, as well as heterojunction structures, which provide new options for burn treatment. On this basis, the development direction of burn wound dressings is prospected.
