Abstract

Organic electronic devices have become an indispensable component in current society and industry, and have widespread applications in fields including display, communication, energy, environment and so on. Organic semiconductor materials are the core of organic electronic devices, thus developing materials with desirable charge transfer properties is the key to improving the performance of the devices. As the research frontier in material science, organic porous crystalline materials have attracted widespread research interest and shown broad application prospects in many fields due to their definite chemical structure, functional designability, large specific surface area, high porosity, and structural modifiability. Especially, fully conjugated two-dimensional (2D) organic framework materials have been studied extensively in the fields of organic electronic devices owing to their high structural planarity, strong electron delocalization, good charge transfer properties and chemical stability. Currently, various organic electronic devices have been fabricated based on fully conjugated 2D organic framework materials with different structures and functions, demonstrating their great application potentials. This review article firstly introduces the structures of developed fully conjugated 2D organic framework materials. And then the latest research progress of fully conjugated 2D organic framework materials in organic electronic devices, including organic field-effect transistors, organic photodetectors, organic photovoltaic cells, organic light-emitting diodes, chemical resistance sensors, and other emerging advanced devices, have been summarized. Finally, the challenges in realizing the practical application of fully conjugated 2D organic framework materials in the field of organic electronic devices and future research detections are also provided.
