Abstract

The risk awareness and capabilities of participants, especially coaches, in rock climbing sports, are crucial for the healthy and sustainable development of this sport. To enhance the risk prevention awareness and abilities of rock climbing participants, a virtual simulation experiment for rock climbing risk prevention is designed and developed. The experiment consists of three major parts: Obtaining permits, acquiring climbing protection, and commencing the climb, with a total of 16 interactive operational steps. This experiment employs various teaching methods such as case studies, scenarios, and the integration of virtual and real elements. It combines in-class knowledge and out-of-class practices to foster students' abilities for independent learning and innovation.
