Abstract

Experiments and competitions based on intelligent vehicles cultivate students' practical ability and multidisciplinary synthesis, which are good carrier for colleges and universities to cultivate new talents. In order to solve the problems of long experimental cycles, insufficient equipment and restricted space for relevant offline experiments, this paper builds a virtual simulation platform for intelligent vehicles based on the kinematic simulation model Coppeliasim and the mathematical modelling software MATLAB. The platform is highly reproducible to the offline course experimental scenario, while its track design has a certain degree of freedom and can meet the needs of students with different abilities at the same time. In addition, the simulation experiments developed on the platform stimulate students’ interest in intelligent vehicles, enhance their participation, and improve their operational and creative thinking skills and have achieved good teaching results.
