Tsinghua University Press joins the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers

Recently, Tsinghua University Press has joined the International Association of Scientific, Technical, and Medical Publishers (STM) and this is the first time a university owned press in China becomes a member of STM.

STM is the world’s leading academic communication association in publishing industry, who is committed to assisting publishers and authors in disseminating research results in the fields of science, technology and medicine. It has more than 140 members from 21 countries, such as internationally renowned publishers like Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, etc. STM releases “The STM Report” every three years, which provides a comprehensive overview of the scientific and scholarly publishing market. In addition, STM keeps providing their members with diverse services such as training courses, information exchange sessions, etc., which is beneficial to the cultivation and development of talented young editors.

Established in 1980, Tsinghua University Press (TUP) is a first-class national comprehensive higher education and professional publisher in China. TUP has released 39 academic journals, among which 22 are in English and 7 were indexed by SCI. A number of high-level international journals, represented by Nano Research and Friction, have gained increasing global influence.
