abstract = {Trametes robiniophila Murr., an important medicinal fungus in China, pertaining to Hymenomycetes, Basidiomycotina, is well-known for its therapeutic properties, which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Many biological activities, including apoptosis, anti-angiogenesis, drug resistance reversal, anti-metastasis, and systemic immune activation have been identified in Trametes robiniophila due to its much primary bioactive components such as proteoglycan, a polysaccharide, amino acids. Trametes robiniophila has been discovered and employed as a supplemental drug for cancer therapy in recent decades, especially for its granules and aqueous extracts. They can effectively inhibit disease progression and improve long-term survival rates in patients. Moreover, the water extracts of Trametes robiniophila have an impact on several key stages of breast cancer development and spread, including the immune system, DNA replication, and cell proliferation, showing multi-target effects. This paper has summarized the progress of polysaccharide, preperation technology, anti-tumor activity, and mechanism of Trametes robiniophila over the last two decades to provide a firm foundation for future research and application of Trametes robiniophila.}
