abstract = {The predatory stinkbug Arma chinensis is an omnivorous natural enemy insect with strong predation ability and a broad prey range, showing great potential for widespread application in biological control.AimTo explore the adaptation mechanism of A. chinensis to extreme high temperatures,Methodsthis study performed transcriptome analysis on adult A. chinensis after treatment at 38℃ for 0 h (Control), 6 h (HT6h) and 12 h (HT12h) using Illumina high-throughput sequencing technology.ResultsThe results showed that there were 1613 differentially expressed genes in HT6h vs Control, among which 768 were up-regulated and 845 were down-regulated. In HT12h vs Control, there were 2023 differentially expressed genes, with 789 up-regulated and 1234 down-regulated. For HT12h vs HT6h, a total of 699 differentially expressed genes were identified, including 320 up-regulated and 379 down-regulated ones. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis indicated that these differentially expressed genes were mainly involved in oxidative phosphorylation, drug metabolism-cytochrome P450, and other related pathways. Notably, temperature-related genes such as HSP (Heat shock protein), DnaJ (DnaJ homolog subfamily), CYP450 (Cytochrome P450) and UGT (UDP-glucuronosyltransferase) were up-regulated, indicating that these protein genes might be involved in the tolerance of A. chinensis to extreme temperatures. 10 randomly selected genes were verified using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR), and the results were consistent with those of the transcriptome analysis, indicating that the transcriptome sequencing data is accurate and reliable.ConclusionThis study reveals the expression characteristics of genes related to the response of A. chinensis to temperature stress, laying a foundation for exploring the molecular mechanism underlying the adaptation of A. chinensis to high temperature stress.}
