abstract = {Acupuncture is highly effective on female stress urinary incontinence (SUI), but there remain the limitations such as unclear explanation on its mechanism and the lack of quantitative operation specification. Multimodal imaging, with its advantages in visualization, quantitative analysis, and real-time dynamic imaging, demonstrates the unique value in acupuncture research. This paper systematically elucidates the enhancement of acupuncture diagnosis and treatment for SUI under the assistance of multimodal imaging; and how multimodal imaging, guided by traditional meridian theory, facilitates the transition from empirical approach to standardized operation in acupuncture treatment for SUI, aiming to provide new insights for the modernization of acupuncture.}
