The interdisciplinary education requires the large-scale development of interdisciplinary curriculum, which in turn calls for technologization and engineering of interdisciplinary curriculum development. While the engineering of interdisciplinary curriculum development requires standardization, the group standard Guide for Development of Interdisciplinary Curriculum in Primary and Secondary Schools is the current standard needed for the large-scale development of interdisciplinary curriculum. This group standard stipulated the basic procedures for interdisciplinary curriculum development, including nine steps such as theme task design, learning output design, inquiry design, etc., with defined data outputs for each procedure. The operational logic connections established by these outputs can ultimately enable the formulation of interdisciplinary curriculum that satisfied the requirement of “goal-means-assessment consistency”. The application of Guide for Development of Interdisciplinary Curriculum in Primary and Secondary Schools can be divided into three stages: stage one involved school-based development of interdisciplinary curriculum to produce the curricula tailored to school needs; stage two aimed at the professional development of core teachers, integrating interdisciplinary curriculum development with the training of core teachers; stage three promoted the team building of professional core teachers to form a complete professional ecosystem for teachers.
