abstract = {Due to the abstract nature of vector field theory and the high mathematical requirements, students often find the electromagnetism course difficult, which may reduce their learning motivation and limit the effectiveness of classroom teaching. This paper applies the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach to the electromagnetism course and designs three types of problems: reasoning-oriented, error-analysis, and practice-oriented problems. During classroom teaching, these problems are implemented through a combination of Rain Classroom and oral questioning, guiding students to think independently and enhancing their learning interest and spirit of inquiry. The data show that, after the implementation of PBL teaching, students’ average overall score increased significantly, their scores in core chapters improved, and 90% of the students recognized the teaching value of this method. The teaching practice demonstrates that the PBL teaching method can effectively stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve their abilities in independent thinking and problem solving.}
