abstract = {In the traditional coastal city underground space potential evaluation, a unified evaluation system is usually built according to the local engineering geological characteristics, and the evaluation is completed using fuzzy integrated hierarchical analysis method. While in the actual situation, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the uneven distribution of bedrock and soil areas, different development conditions and socio-economic characteristics of the development zone. On this basis, evaluation factors possess coastal cities characteristics are selected, and the development potential evaluation index systems of soil areas and bedrock areas are constructed, respectively, and a comprehensive evaluation model is constructed by using the combination of assignment method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory. A comprehensive development potential zoning map of the development zone is obtained by combined the model with GIS, which provides theoretical support for the actual underground space development. Meanwhile, through comparison, it can be seen that the results of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model constructed by Analytic Hierarchy Process-Principal Component Analysis (AHP-PCA) method will be more scientific and reliable than those obtained by traditional methods.}
